Virtual Spectator
has integrated "state of the art" portable
Automatic Weather Station technology into
our sports production and enhancement graphics.
The Virtual Spectator Weather Station utilizes
the latest compact, portable and lightweight
weather monitoring equipment.
The base station can be positioned adjacent
to the playing field enabling the Virtual
Spectator Weather Station to record and relay
the conditions in Real Time.
Data is transferred via wireless transmitters
and receivers and processed by programs developed
by Virtual Spectator specifically for sport
broadcasts.
Virtual Spectator collects
a wide range of data:
Wind Speed & Direction
Rainfall
Temperature
Humidity
Ultra Violet Radiation
Barometric Pressure
Light
Soil Moisture
Dewpoint
Wind Chill
Heat stress
Combinations of these readings and additional variable
indicators are calculated and presented in formats
relevant to each specific sport.
UV Radiation levels and Light readings are irrelevant
for a football match played at night under lights,
but rainfall or dewpoint temperature will change
the playing conditions during the game and may effect
the outcome.
Data is collected and transmitted in Real Time enabling
Virtual Spectator the flexibility to present information
in an almost limitless variety of configurations.
The Virtual Spectator Weather Station can record
and calculate information to populate a traditional
weather wall or take selected readings to further
enhance VR graphics and live vision.
Weather impacts all outdoor sports and the Virtual
Spectator Weather Station can measure, analyze and
display the conditions and potential impact for
live sport broadcasts.
