Virtual Spectator has once again shown that it is the dominate player in cricket broadcast graphics and data. The current 2005 Ashes broadcast on SBS is using statistics, graphics and data generated by VS to keep the viewers strapped to there seats in what has been a very exciting series so far. This coincide with the release of a new product for Virtual Spectator.

Cricket Super Score has revolutionised Statistical Management and Graphics Production for Television. The system comprises a single Fly-Away kit or a more featured variation housed in our own OB Van. Virtual Spectator statisticians and graphics operators operate the entire thing on-site, live to air.

By combining all TV graphics, Commentary Box Data Feed and even an Internet Feed, Cricket Super Score (CSS) gives the network greater flexibility and more production options than previously available.

CSS drives the sophisticated FX DEKO character generators which allow for real-time 3D effects and dynamic updates the instant the data hits the database. The database itself is very comprehensive and contains historical data dating back over 100 years.
Disaster recovery is catered for by a double backup capability built into CSS. Even if the power cord is pulled out of the central DB server, a secondary server will instantly kick in without any noticeable change to the broadcast.

Virtual Spectator is now established as the worlds leading supplier of Cricket Statistics and Graphics for television. The 2 pioneers of innovation in cricket broadcasting, Australia's Channel 9 and the U.K.'s Channel 4 both choose to use Virtual Spectator to supply all scores, stats and graphics for their ground breaking telecasts.

With the inclusion of Channel 4 in 2001, Virtual Spectator now broadcast cricket from around the world 12 months a year.
