Virtual Spectator the world leader in the provision of virtual reality graphics for television has developed a stunning new product for rugby.

Utilising the same technology used for Virtual Spectator’s AFL and Soccer products.

Try Tracker is a software only system for tracking individuals and ball movement for both codes of rugby.

Try Tracker enables the viewer to see how their team uses strategic patterns to push back the opposing teams defence using combinations of passing, kicking and speed to break down the effectiveness of the defensive line. Each teams set of six plays is tracked and broken down by Try Tracker including plays originating in both their defensive and offensive half and sets that are broken down by tackle count.

In addition to the ball movement all the kicks in play are tracked to demonstrate strategic kicking patterns used by teams to gain an advantage over their opposition.

Including how your team has used its kicks to score tries and where kicks are positioned to break the defensive line and gain field position.

Used on Channel 9 for State of Origin 1, with the rest of the Origin series to come.

Try Tracker promises to evolve into the most detailed visualisation product for rugby on the market enabling the viewer at home to better understand the intricacies and fallacies of individuals and teams in the game of rugby.
