Virtual Spectator PlayTrac is a software only system for tracking individuals and ball movement during team sports. PlayTrac was originally designed for Soccer and it's capabilities for the worlds favourite game is unmatched.

Used in 2003 and 2004 by both the BBC and ITV, PlayTrac is making it's mark in the UK broadcasting marketplace.

During the 2003 Women's FA Cup Final, PlayTrac was used to great effect to demonstrate the dominance of Fulham in almost every aspect of the game and the system highlighted the contribution provided by Player of the Match, "Rachael Yankee". Rachel spend nearly all of her time in attack and totally closed down the opposition defense. Virtual Spectator PlayTrac graphically displayed the information in an easy to understand format and was used "In-Play" live as well as a half time feature.

More recently, PlayTrac has been used by ITV for the Euro 2004 tournament in which Greece was the victor. Utilizing the 3D Virtual Reality aspects of PlayTrac, ITV demonstrated dominance of teams in ball possession and individual player heat charts.

New variants of PlayTrac Soccer are currently being trialled with several broadcasters and should be available on screens around the world in 2005 and onwards.
