Player Track for television can be thought of
in the following terms:
It's
Low Tech It's
Cost Effective It's
easy to use and
It WORKS
Many companies including our own have concentrated
on producing High Tech wiz bang applications to
automate the tracking process. Whilst this is
an admirable objective, it has a few problems:
It
is very expensive to research and deliver Broadcast
budgets cannot accommodate it It
is complicated and requires a lot of technical
support
With this in mind, Virtual Spectator have produced
a system that is in use week in week out and never
fails. It is affordable and it can be run by non-Virtual
Spectator personnel.
PlayTrac can deliver the following graphics and
data feeds to cater for any broadcast need:
Character
generation style graphics through the Pinnacle
FX Deko or a CG of your choosing Compelling
3D Virtual Reality content through our VR Servers
(Used extensively by Channel 9
during Friday Night Football)
XML
Data Streams for ITV and other uses
The system is ideal for any team sport and can
deliver a unique set of graphics and statistics
that will better tell the story of the game as
it unfolds.
