3D Cricket VR is a portable system that enables the broadcaster to deliver rich 3D content at prices until recently unachievable.

The System(s)

3D Cricket VR provides:

Real-Time Render capability Interactive Operation 3D Virtual Reality stadium models plus conventional graphics features.

Virtual Spectator can produce photo-realistic 3D stadiums representing the actual venue or a generic stadium can be used offering further cost savings.

Virtual Spectator 3D Cricket VR is modular in design to enable tailoring a package of graphics that best meets the requirements of each telecast. This flexibility provides the broadcaster with the tools to enhance the viewing experience and provide commentators with a set of analysis options not possible with other systems.

Using "Virtual Reality" simulations, Virtual Spectator 3D Cricket VR will provide the following analysis capabilities to TWI in “Real Time”:

3D Wagon Wheels – Displaying in three dimensions each batsman’s shots including direction,
    height, bounce and runs scored
3D Team Line Ups – Each team is shown down the side of the pitch including player photos and
career data. The virtual camera animating along the line of players for commentator comment.
Next to Bat/Bowl – Utilizing the 3D Player Profiles, next to bat and bowl can be animated on and
off screen with relevant career stats displayed.
Fielding positions – 3D fielding layout along with area defended can be graphically displayed.
The virtual camera can navigate around the scene to best display strategic field placements.
Pitching Data – ball pitching data can be graphically displayed in 3D providing a greater appreciation
    of bowling accuracy.
Ball trajectory and LBW analysis – Ball flight path can be animated to leave a trail similar to Hawkeye
and utilizing complex mathematical algorithms, determine whether an LBW decision was or was
     not justified.
3D Batting and Bowling cards – Utilizing the team line-up capabilities of the system, each batsman’s
score mode of dismissal and other relevant information can be displayed as the virtual camera
navigates past the profiles. The same can be done with bowling performance.
Head to Head Match ups – Utilizing Player Profiles, head to head comparisons of individual players
     can be displayed.
Scoring Heat Charts – Utilizing the 3D stadium, “hot” areas of the ground can be displayed where
runs are being made. This can be by team or batsman and should expose weaknesses in field
     placements.
Educational Functions – Using 3D animation, descriptive displays of differing bowling styles and
batting strokes can be displayed. For instance, finger placement on the ball for leg spin, finger spin,
     off spin etc.
